The briefing will provide the latest vision of the government's security procurement requirements

Any company that has an interest in the security of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is invited to attend this exclusive second briefing.

Following on from the success of the first Olympic and Paralympic Security Business Briefing which took place 12 months ago, and with the 2012 Games getting ever closer, this year's briefing event will give an up-to-date vision of the Government's security procurement requirements for this major event.

The Olympic and Paralympic Security Directorate's first briefing was an extremely useful event providing an opportunity for over 200 private sector suppliers to better understand Olympic Safety & Security Planning and raise issues with them and their colleagues in ODA and LOCOG.

Any company that has an interest in the security of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is invited to attend this exclusive second briefing which offers an unrivalled opportunity to hear directly from those responsible for securing the 2012 Games. It will update the sector on the Olympic Security strategy and planning, highlighting the business opportunities available with the Olympic authorites and their supply chains.

The invited speakers include:

  • Charles Farr, Director General of the Office for Security & Counter Terrorism at the Home Office
  • Sir Ian Johnston, Director of Security & Resilience for the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG)
  • Assistant Commissioner Chris Allison, Olympics Security Co-ordinator for the Metropolitan Police
  • Howard Shiplee, Director of Construction for the Olympic Delivery Authority

Places at this event will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, as demand for this event is expected to be extremely high. It is recommended that you reserve your place as soon as possible. A registration fee of £45 will be payable on booking.
