A.P.E are proud to assisted in the delivery of a 30 bed refurbished ward at Royal United Hospitals – Bath. Due to the recent circumstances the program was fast tracked to allow the hospital to take early occupation during the urgent stages of the UKs lockdown.

They smoothly achieved this goal in a safe manner, ensuring both staff and other contractors risks were kept to a minimum. They delivered a complex PC based, TDSI access control system to match the site wide access control format.

Surface contact transmission

This primarily utilizes TDSI contactless RFID format aiding the reduction in surface contact transmission of viruses and bacteria. In addition this was supplemented with VIDEX video intercoms to allow staff to stay safe but allowing visitors to be vetted avoiding face to face contact.

The above scheme was put together by the specialist contract team in conjunction with the client. A.P.E would like to thank the contractors onsite, staff and supply chain in all assisting in allowing this important project smooth and early completion.
