Ara Safety proves useful in bringing down the effects of catastrophic fires and harmful smoke

When flames engulfed an attic of a home in Forestburg, Alberta, the local Fire Department and its Chief Kevin Lunty used Ara Safety's Fire Interruption Technology to contain the damage and save the home from total loss.

The fire had gone unnoticed for a while. When fire fighters arrived on scene, the flames had spread throughout the attic. With an exhausted water supply, and the reserve water truck still en route, Chief Lunty deployed the Ara Safety Pro. Within seconds, smoke and visible flames had decreased dramatically, and the device bought five valuable minutes for the water truck to arrive.

The Ara Safety Pro proved invaluable to saving the possessions in the house. Using Fire Interruption Technology, fire fighters were able to contain the fire and considerably reduce smoke and water damage. The time bought by Ara's device ultimately prevented the total loss of the house and its possessions.

"The [Ara Safety Pro] performed as we had hoped and reduced the amount of flame which had just broken through the ceiling when we knocked it down," says Kim Cannady, the Regional Emergency Services Coordinator for Flagstaff County. "Without the Ara Safety Pro, I believe the fire would have gained enough of a foothold waiting for water to arrive, that we would have salvaged nothing from the house."

All fire departments in Flagship County are equipped with Ara Safety's Fire Interruption Technology. Forestburg Fire Department was the first in the county to deploy Ara's device, after only being outfitted with the technology two weeks prior by Ara Authorized Dealer, Commercial Solutions Inc.
