The MxPro 5 fire panels are the leading multiprotocol choice and are renowned for their world-beating quality

One of Britain’s most prestigious luxury hotels, De Vere Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire has selected high performance fire panels from industry leader Advanced, for a complete replacement of its existing fire systems.

The contract for the new system was awarded to Trinity Fire & Security Systems, who specified the latest MxPro 5 panels from Advanced to form the core of the new system. The MxPro 5 fire panels are the leading multiprotocol choice and are renowned for their world-beating quality, reliability and flexibility.

The historic mansion at Heythrop Park was built in the early-1700s by the Duke of Shrewsbury and rebuilt again following a devastating fire in 1831. It is now protected by two networked MxPro 5 panels controlling 10 loops and supporting more than 700 individual devices.

Colin Smith, Regional Sales Manager for Trinity Fire & Security Systems, commented: “We have fitted Advanced panels many times in the past. They combine cutting edge technology with quality and dependability, which is exactly what’s needed in a building like this. The fact that the new system could use the existing wiring also proved a major selling point with the client, helping to avoid unnecessary disturbance and reducing the amount of time needed to complete the job.”

MxPro offers customers a choice of two panel ranges, four detector protocols and a completely open installer network that enjoys free training and support. MxPro panels can be used in single loop, single panel format or easily configured into high speed, 200 panel networks covering huge areas. Advanced’s legendary ease of installation and configuration and wide peripheral range make it customisable to almost any application. At Heythrop this includes the historic mansion and former stables, with an option to extend the system to the adjoining Crowne Plaza extension in the future.

Roger Bailey, Facilities Manager at De Vere Heythrop Park Hotel, said: “As one of England’s premier country house hotels, we require a fire system that offers maximum peace of mind to our customers and staff, while also being as unobtrusive and reliable as possible in day to day use. We felt that the MxPro 5 range met these criteria perfectly, while also being simple to set up and control.”

MxPro 5 is fully compliant with EN54 Parts 2, 4 and 13 and backed up with Advanced’s renowned customer care and technical support. MaxPro 5 is fully backward compatible with Advanced MxPro 4 panel range offering long term security, scalability and flexibility.

Robin Kemp, Sales Director at Advanced, said: “De Vere Heythrop Park Hotel is a highly prestigious location that is now well protected thanks to an MxPro 5 powered network. This is the latest high-profile building in the South East to choose Advanced products. We worked closely with the Trinity team and other component suppliers to deliver a system that meets the current needs of the complex, and which can also be developed and expanded in the future.”
