In 2022, NYFRS took delivery of four new pumping appliances, based on Ripon, Tadcaster, Scarborough, and Selby stations. These appliances feature a new clean cab concept, which sees breathing apparatus sets stored in the appliance lockers as opposed to in the appliance’s cab. This limits toxins and contaminants from entering the crew space, in an aim to prevent future health risks among firefighters.
