Event Overview:

NCT CBRNe Asia-Pacific 2016 - 19th edition of the worldwide NCT events series

Following the footsteps of four successful NCT CBRNe events in Asia, NCT CBRNe Asia-Pacific 2016, will take place in the Palace Hotel in Seoul from March 14-16. The 19th edition of the worldwide NCT events series is organised in cooperation with the Biodefense Research Institute (BDRI), the Korea Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences (KIRAMS), and the Korean Institute of Hazardous Materials (KIHM).

The event will be opened by a live CBRNe demonstration by the ROK Armed Forces CBR Defense Command on March 14, followed by a two-day conference including the leading stakeholders from the ROK Army, government and groundbreaking research institutes. NCT CBRNe Asia-Pacific will thereby provide updates on CBRNe emergency preparedness and response approaches at various response actors and military stakeholders against the background of existing CBRNe threat environments. The range of topics goes from chemical threat scenarios and radiation monitoring and consequence assessment tools to lessons learned from the recent MERS outbreak in the country.

As the event’s predecessors, NCT CBRNe Asia-Pacific will have a regional focus with further representatives from countries such as Japan, USA and Australia, giving an overview of their recently upgraded capability building programs and tenders. By providing a high-level networking opportunity in the thriving region of the Asia-Pacific, NCT CBRNe Asia-Pacific 2016 is a must-attend event.
