Iraq SecurExpo 2011: The International Security, Safety & Fire Protection Exhibition
Iraq is opening its doors. The International Security, Safety & Fire Protection Exhibition will take place as the first international security, safety and fire protection exhibition of the region which will be held between 18-21 March 2011 in Basra International Fair Ground Basra, Iraq.

Basra
Strategically located, Basra has four extensive highways, river transportation systems on both the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, a railway linking it to Baghdad, and is connected by air through its international airport. Its global position makes Basra the most important trade center in Iraq.
The city is located along Shatt al-Arab waterway near Persian Gulf, 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Persian Gulf and 545 kilometres (339 mi) from Baghdad, Iraq's capital and largest city.
Oil is key to Basra's economy. Some of Iraq's largest oil fields (Rumaila North, Majnoon, and Rumaila South) are located in Basra province. A majority of Iraq's oil exports leave the country through Basra's ports.
