PHS Compliance logo, the company's new expert will raise awareness of requirements for electrical, gas, water and fire safety

Workplace safety expert, PHS Compliance, has announced that it will be highlighting the path "from risk to compliance" at the Facilities Show and revealing the appointment of a major industry expert to help raise awareness of the requirements for electrical, gas, water and fire safety.

The launch will be held on the first day of the show, 17 May, in hall one, at 11am on stand G20, with a champagne reception to introduce the new expert joining the team. Following the 11am launch event, managing director of PHS Compliance, Paul Caddick, will be speaking in the Seminar Theatre from 3.40 to 4.10pm.  Paul’s talk, entitled ‘from risk to compliance’ will consider how a facilities manager or other duty holder goes about assessing the risk on site from electricity, gas, fire and water; considering the scale of potential dangers against the likelihood of an accident or incident.  With case studies and anecdotes from his 12 year history of working with the HSE, Paul provides real world insight and tackles this topic head on, leading a clear path through the legislation and regulations towards ultimately achieving complete compliance.

PHS Compliance welcomes visitors to G20 not only for the launch event on the 17th, but at any time during the three days of the show.  The stand will be staffed with experts in safety compliance, ready to provide support and guidance to facilities professionals and those seeking further understanding of the demands of current and impending regulations.

According to PHS Compliance, there is still confusion within the facilities arena regarding the legislative standards that organisations must meet.  This is compounded, says PHS, by the dynamic regulatory landscape, with changes in electrical standards due to impact in the coming months.

“For any serious facilities professional there are many reasons to visit PHS Compliance at the show,” said Paul Caddick.  “We offer unrivalled quality of service for total safety compliance and so G20 is the ideal place to find out all you need to know about fulfilling your duty of care in the most appropriate and cost effective manner.  The new expert joining our team will certainly have all the answers and I challenge anyone and everyone to put him to the test!”

During the Facilities Show at the NEC, PHS Compliance can be found at stand G20 in hall one, from 17 to 19 May 2011.  Paul Caddick will be speaking at 3.40pm on the 17th in the Seminar Theatre at the show.
